This is an independent web site constructed to further the sport of Pocket Billiards.
Pocket Billiards Review (PBR) publishes articles of interest to pool players. These edited and reviewed articles are freely available for download. Articles with prior copyrights should not be submitted. Submissions from the original author are encouraged and will be acknowledged in the order received. All copyrights, aside from publishing as a free download on PBR, are retained by the original author.
One of the unique features of the review process is the comments by readers. Substantive edited comments are posted at the end of each article. Authors are encouraged to respond.
Author affiliations and their products are included in the by-line for each article. Publication guidelines are not stringent. A professional format should be used. References should be included where appropriate. Links to on-line sources are encouraged. Please read any of the published articles for examples of the types of formatting that is expected.
Controversial articles are submitted to two blind reviewers who are experts in the content area. Authors should insure that their identity is protected in the original manuscript. The decision to publish is determined by a vote with the editor as tie breaker. All decisions of the reviewers is final. The editor will seek out two highly qualified reviewers for articles of interest.
PBR is interested in providing some training materials for sale through the store. If you are interested in authoring or co-authoring training materials related to PQ please contact Joe Waldron.
